Micro Mold is looking for a Toolmaker/Moldmaker to join our team! Toolmakers construct tight-tolerance, high-precision mold components as indicated by mold design specifications and blueprints using multiple machines designed for metalworking fabrication.
Key Responsibilities & Experience:
- New mold build job leaders; experienced toolmakers who are also mold/project/managers.
- Experienced manual, very high-precision molding
- Mold troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
Additional Responsibilities:
- Familiar with holding close tolerances. MasterCAM and Pro/E experience is a plus.
- Build and repair production molds, dies and machines to close tolerances
- Operate all tool room equipment safely and efficiently (includes CNC machines, Lathes, Mills, Grinders & EDM’s)
- Set up and prepare new tooling and/or production molds to perform at specified standards
- Perform routine and preventative maintenance on tools, as scheduled
- Inspect all components to print tolerance
- Able to machine any component to print tolerances
- Familiar with holding close tolerances. MasterCAM and Pro/E experience is a plus.
Qualifications:
- High school graduate, plus post-secondary technical training
- 3+ years of experience as a toolmaker or mold maker required
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Mold troubleshooting skills
- Discretion and independent judgment required
- Ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with teammates and strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a high work ethic
- Capable of completing job duties in a highly professional manner
- Ability to work overtime when needed
