JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Supervisor leads the Inspector, Data Analyst, and Product Specialist teams for a particular shift. Drives manufacturing by ensuring Plastikos produces quality products and delivers on customer expectations.
This position requires a hands-on leader who can develop team members, foster accountability, and influence positive outcomes through collaboration and clear communication.

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:

- Ensures accurate reporting of scrap and actively works to reduce scrap.
- Conducts and ensures the proper training of Product Specialists, Data Analysts, and Inspectors to their job functions.
- Performs shut-down visual inspections to confirm run conformance and complete orders with the appropriate documentation
- Completes the following responsibilities for all approved production orders:
- Verify counts for the Open Order Report in the Shipping Department.
- Once confirmed, it moves up to the next job that is scheduled in the corresponding press within IQMS.
- Communicates with all team members as appropriate to ensure the highest levels of quality, efficiency, and safety are met.
- Adheres to company-implemented policies and procedures with respect to the job role.
- Maintains sample retention cabinets and files all corresponding Quality documentation.
- Assures adequate staffing/coverage of floor functions and collaborates with the Process Supervisor to ensure all priorities are established.
- Provides defect analysis and photographs to the Senior Quality Supervisor to update & maintain Visual Defect Guidelines to communicate part defects.
- Can successfully perform and effectively carry out all duties of a Product Specialist, Data Analyst, and Inspector.
- Communicates with off-shift Quality Supervisor to facilitate a seamless transfer of information to the incoming shift.
- Troubleshot quality-related issues and/or problems along with Process Supervisors, as needed.
- Oversees rework operations (In-process & Non-Conformance Report, Rework report, NCR log).
- Effectively leads the nonconformance process, ensuring quarantine and documentation of defective product physically and electronically.
- Prepares and delivers accurate feedback to employees through Employee Performance Appraisals.
- Other duties as assigned by the Senior Quality Supervisor.
