JOB SUMMARY:
Installs, maintains, and repairs equipment, machinery, physical structures, and utility systems in the facility regularly or in an emergency situation.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS:
The primary or essential functions of the position include the following: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Must be familiar with injection molding, with 3-5 years of experience required.
- Properly uses all hand tools
- Safely operates forklift and scissor lift to update, change, and maintain fixtures, machines, or facility needs
- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment
- Regularly performs preventative and predictive maintenance activities on building systems, machinery, and equipment
- Detects malfunctions by listening for unusual sounds from machines or equipment, and troubleshoots machine operation variations with the Maintenance Manager and other Maintenance Associates to diagnose problems
- Dismantles defective machines, equipment, and installs new or repaired parts
- Installs and repairs electrical apparatus such as transformers, wiring, and electronic components of machinery and equipment
- Installs, programs, and repairs automated machinery and equipment
- Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
- Repairs and/or replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment
- Repairs and maintains the physical structure of the establishment as needed
- Sets up and operates machine tools
- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other structures as needed
- Travel as necessary

- High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical training, preferred
- Three to five years of machine maintenance experience
- Possesses extensive knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems in machinery and facilities
- Possesses basic English comprehension (verbal and written)
- Communicates effectively with teammates
- Maintains a positive attitude and strong individual work ethic
- Works well independently (self-motivated), as well as in a team environment
- Regards, safety as a priority
- Possesses a strong attention to detail
- Consistently meets deadlines
- Is capable of multitasking, sometimes in the midst of interruptions
- Completes job duties with minimal supervision and exercises independent judgment
- Possesses a basic knowledge of shop math
- Possesses a commitment to housekeeping and maintaining a very clean work environment
- Is willing to work on any of the three shifts, as required (including overtime coverage)
